Jumping rope and rebounding - lymphatic health(2 posts) (2 voices)
I recall that Julia wrote about jumping rope in Inconceivable - but I don't have a copy handy to check. My husband has a rebounder and I was thinking of starting a jumping exercise routine, although I am concerned about when in my cycle this would be best. Most likely, after ovulation is not a great idea, as my acupunturist tends to advise against vigorous exercise or heavy lifting at that time. I am curious if other fertile heart sisters are jumping rope or doing rebounding. I have read that it is very good for lymphatic health but nothing directly pertaining to fertility concerns. Any comments or experiences shared would be appreciated,
Julie from the Bay Area
Yes I actually jump rope on the rebounder. It was suggested to me to help eliminate pain in the joints and it does make all the difference as opposed to jumping on a hard floor or concrete. Jula does write about doing both in Inconceivable. I do 1000 jumps a day. I bought a jump rope at Sports Authority that does the counting for you. You can pick them up at any sports store or online. Good luck. -Mia from CT.
