Dear Julia,
I’m 35. In July this year I got pg. Unfortunately, I miscarried at 8w4d. I have been looking for a site to help me with my fertility problem naturally for quite some time. I just found this site last evening.
We have been trying for almost 7 years to get pregnant. I stopped working some months back because it was so stressful. Since then, we started eating healthy, home-cooked food, I stopped taking tea (I used to take at least 1 cup a day)- fyi, I stopped taking tea about 1 month before I conceived!- We only take chicken and fish once in a while, and I do aerobics about 1/2hr 5-6 times a week. After all these changes, I managed to get pregnant. Even though it ended in a mc, at least I know we're headed towards the right direction. Our problem is -
1. Our fertility specialist ran some tests on us and all came out fine, except for the Luteinizing Hormone, LH (which was 11.9 IU/L) - which he said was on the high side. The tests were run on the Luteal Phase of my cycle. Is there any way I can reduce my LH nutritionally? Are there any known problems due to high LH?
2. How long should the Luteal Phase be to be able to sustain pregnancy? Mine is 10 days. Is it too short?
3. I am currently taking mutivits (with folic acid). Is it necessary for me to take wheatgrass juice/Red clover blossoms & leaves/Nettle leaf/Raspberry leaf? If yes or it will help, please let me know which one is better.
4. A few of the other sites advise that we take dairy everyday. Your site says no dairy, take soya. But soya has been found to have side effects on unborn babies - is it true?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry to make this very long, but I truly need your advise. Thanks for taking the time to read this message and for your response.
