Diet and menstrual cycle

When I first read Inconceivable, I didn't think I could make the dietary changes Julia did. I wanted a quick, painless fix like an herbal supplement. I read Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover last month and that finally gave me the extra inspiration to make some changes. I eliminated red meat and dairy from my diet and started eating a lot more fish, soy, and organic products. I've always ovulated early, CD8-11, which lead me to believe I had a hormone imbalance. This cycle I seem to have ovulated on CD15! I'm amazed! That's the latest I've ever ovulated without herbal supplements! I'm anxious to see if the same thing happens next cycle (assuming there is one)! -
do you have POF? Or are you over 40? -
No, I'm 32 and I don't know what POF is. I haven't been through enough tests yet to get a firm diagnosis. I didn't get pregnant from that cycle, but I ovulated on CD14 on the following cycle, so I'm sold on the new diet!Sonya

hi, Lynda,
If you're interested in information on POF, you may want to read the interview with dr. Andrew Silverman and the one with nutritionist Shari Lieberman. We will also be posting a couple of stories of women with elevated FSH who concieved after they emulated some of the adjustments I talk about in Inconceivable. If there is anything else i can be useful with let me know.
