Greeting The Children

Intention:
To experience being with your child.

See yourself walking up a steep hill through a dark wooded area. In a distance you see a clearing bathed in luminous light. Feel and sense yourself walking toward it and in the middle of the clearing see a group of children of all ages. Some are just babies crawling around in the soft grass, some are teenagers reading, some four five six year olds at play. You recognize your child he or she looks up and recognizes you. You greet them in a way that feels most comfortable.


Create a peaceful, private space for your imagery work. The most effective way to do your imagery is sitting upright with your spine straight, arms at your side, legs uncrossed. It's important to be consistent in your practice, to do each exercise for cycles of twenty one days.

Imagery work is a dynamic process, a lived experience. Notice how the images change in the course of the twenty one days. Start each exercise with three breaths, starting with an out breath. You reverse your habitual way of breathing signaling your unconscious that you are reversing your habitual way of being in the world.
