I’ve come to call it “shame factor infertility” and to me, it’s one of the most insidious of all fertility challenges. Few other diagnoses trigger as much shame as the label of  infertility. But what exactly are those of us, called to travel the scenic road to parenthood—ashamed  of?”

I look forward to exploring the many answers to that questions with all of you on April 25th.

Remembering the crushing weight of shame after my own diagnosis, I certainly understand the need to be careful about what we choose to share and whom we choose to share it with. But letting the voice of shame dominate our fertility journey can keep us isolated and stuck in a reality of defeat.

What I’m aiming for in our chat is –

  • to create a safe space for addressing the roots of shame in the context of fertility challenges
  • to address the damaging effect of the pressure to be “positive” in order to insure successful treatment outcome
  • to introduce the tools of the Fertile Heart™ Ovum tools and guide participants in transforming feelings of shame into a source of healing.
  • to encourage a meaningful dialogue about the high price of shame when it turn us into bystanders in a highly contentious world of baby making

I didn’t even tell my mother or my sister about the nightmare we were going through before I started with Fertile Heart. Then after working on one of the Visionary calls, Julia suggested that I share what I was going through with one person. It was such an incredibly freeing experience.

Come and learn about a “less traveled, fertilehearted, scenic road to parenthood” that can make all the difference.

I will offer an introductory talk centered on the topic of the day and then address as many questions as time allows. Also, please let us me know if I can engage with you directly during the call.
