As Dr. Vidali pointed out, we’re all biased.  Our biases are shaped by our training and clinical experience: the case histories of our patients/clients.

As I read through the questionnaires people filled out prior to the chat, I was dismayed by the level of suffering so many women endure in spite of years surgeries, diet changes and experimentations with various healing techniques.

Reading those stories I confess I was strengthened in my own bias. A bias that has grown out of witnessing people, myself included, go through years of expert-hopping with little regard for the expert within that keeps attempting to flag us down.

Experts and necessary testing can be useful resources and I’m grateful to Dr. Vidali for all the helpful information he shared with us.

But the ultimate fertility counsellor and medical detective on call 24/7 is the one within you, waiting to be seen and heard.

And so many of us ignore her at our own peril.
