The Fertile Heart Suitcase

Joe and Virginia were very active engaged members of the Fertile Heart family. I hope their story can be another fertility tonic for you!

They conceived their little boy spontaneously and gave birth when Virginia was 44 after:

6 years, 3 miscarriages, inconsistent ovulation patterns, Luteinizing Unruptured Follicle Syndrome & Male Factor issues. 

A suitcase full of provisions for our journeys. I love the way Virginia put it, because that’s exactly what I hope the Fertile Heart toolkit would become for the people wrestling with delayed pregnancy challenges.

Then of course, none of tools in the toolkit would do much good, if we didn’t open that suitcase and use them.

Virginia and her partner Joe made use of every one of the tools in that suitcase in awe-inspiring ways.

The truth is, I could not have been of service to them if what I had to offer hadn’t been received with such respect and openheartedness.

Healing isn’t about information, the right supplements, or IVF. Those can be useful—and often straightforward—to figure out.

What’s far more rare, and far more powerful, is the courage to fully receive ourselves and each other.

That’s what I’ve witnessed this mom and dad do again and again.

Hi Julia,

I wanted to send this quick message after just re-watching the Eager expert video. 

When you brought up the question, Do I believe that a pregnancy is really possible for me? , I had to think about my answer again. In our last visionary circle, I responded yes. I responded yes, because I know it is statistically possible ( if what happened in my last pregnancy happens again) but I also felt like I was fooling myself. Am I holding on to a super thin rope of hope? Is it unwise of me to think after continued ovarian decline, irregular ovulation, LUFTS, early menopause that a pregnancy is possible? Am I just torturing myself or is there more to this than I can “see?” A possible orphan that needs attention… to birth a visionary that can give more clarity to my answers and decisions for the baby journey ( whether it’s continue to try for a spontaneous pregnancy and explore adoption or just explore adoption). 

I will see you in the zoom room and am also thinking about having a private session with you soon.

Hi Julia, 

I loved your call just now…this happened during your call… I feel that the orphan that has been saying… “all of this work for the baby is in vain,”  is now a visionary. The Visionary calling to be born is the Virginia that knows that the “fight” isn’t over and that I must go deeper and do the things that are much harder to do. Like actually treating imagery, body truth, prayer, journaling, and dreams like real F’ING DRUGS. The baby will be forever grateful when I can truly treat these things as drugs..the side effects will last forever.

Hi Julia,

…Your processing with Y helped me work on answering the question about whether pregnancy was possible for me at this point of my journey. I realize that there are definitely orphans that want to find allll the reasons a pregnancy is not possible for me instead of thinking how it IS possible. I realize that I can’t commit to still being open to a pregnancy if I am telling myself all the reasons why it can not happen. I feel that this “birth” frees me to receive what guidance comes next and what next steps to take on the pregnancy and/or the adoption path with an open heart, not a fearful/confused one.
