Introduction to the Fertile Heart Approach to Conception

For last minute inquiries please call 845-679-5469.An introductory class focused on increasing fertility and overall level of health through natural, life-affirming treatment options. The workshop is appropriate for anyone interested in hands-on tools to either augment their current treatment or to explore a radically holistic alternatives. This is a workshop based on processes Julia used to overcome her own difficulty to conceive 19 years ago, as well as on her work with thousands of individuals, and couples over the last 18 years. The aim of the Fertile Heart Ovum practice is to turn our fertility challenge into a pilgrimage of self-discovery and discover the immense power we all have to create change in our bodies, our lives and in the world.
The most important question to ask ourselves, is not: “What are my chances of conceiving?” but rather: ”Do I feel a longing for a child and am I willing to follow it?”
For those of us who are facing a specific health challenge linked to our impaired ability to carry a full term pregnancy, the question might be: “Can I trust that my body is not my enemy, but a friend trying to flag me down before I run full speed into a brick wall?”
Some of the issues addressed:
- How do we separate ourselves from the collective hysteria of “the last good egg” and honor our own rhythm of healing?
- What is the true meaning of “holistic” in our approach to health challenges?
- How do we use the tools of the Fertile Heart Ovum Practice (Food, Imagery, Dream-Reading, Body Truth) to identify physical, emotional and spiritual obstacles to a healthy full term pregnancy?
- How do we use the Fertile Heart tools to become our own “authorities” on what is or is not possible for us?
- How do we choose treatments that resonate with us? Is fertility acupuncture always the best choice of a complementary treatment? How do we choose a healthcare provider that will offer the support we need?
- How do we let go of the destructive effect of statistics and other people’s ideas of what is or is not possible for us?
- What nutritional and lifestyle adjustments will enhance conception and overall well being?
- How do we tilt the scale in favor of a healthy birth when using Assisted Reproductive Technology?

Fertility Support 5 Session Series for Visionary-Activist-Moms-To-Be: pre-requisite Level One Series taken within 3 months of intended registration8:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Dear Faithfully Fertile Friends,
This Level 2 Series is for those of you who have completed the Level One Series and wish to continue to practice the tools in the company of other amazing, fiercely fertile visionary moms and moms-to-be.
Chances are you’ve heard me say this before but here it is again: the Ovum Birthing Practice is a practice, and the more you engage with it the clearer your connection with the UM within you and the more grounded you’ll become in the Visionary part of you that knows how to choose the next best step on your journey.
This group is intended to be a circle of moms who will continue to discover how much power they have to create change not only in their own bodies and lives but in the world.
And since we are cultivating an activist attitude we will spend part of our time talking about ways to strengthen the voice of our community in the world of reproductive health.
The intention of this ongoing group continues to be the same as in the Level One Series, to offer you the support you might need to:
• keep engaging with the practice before the heartache of multiple failed fertility treatments, or before you spend a year “dabbling” in imagery or Body Truth without fully following through on either.
• To deepen your understanding of the Ovum ideas and tools and to continue to identify and overcome the specific inner obstacles that keep you from becoming a parent.
• To offer you a chance to ask questions and feedback on your particular circumstances. (This is a larger group and I might not always be able to address each person’s issues, but ultimately we all wrestle with the same questions.)
• To support each other in becoming fertility game-changers, dedicated to turning the tide of Reproductive Technopoly* toward sustainable reproductive healthcare.
• To heed the call of our not-yet-born children to become agents of hope and change in our much-in-need-of-evolution human family.
In addition to deepening our understanding of the Ovum tools, the topics covered will also be determined by the ongoing needs of participants. Before registering kindly read the note below about the materials you’ll need for the class, you should have them from the Level One Series, but just to make sure you have all you need for full participation in this group.

Note about logistics of calling in to the teleconference and about materials:
Connecting:
You will be making a long distance call, so having a good long distance plan is useful. You are welcome to call through Skype but often Skype connections create static on the line and you might need to be on mute for the duration of the call or hang up. Often the same is true for cell phones. I guess, to me, a preparation for parenthood includes having a landline. A growing volume of research points toward health and environmental damage of extensive cell phone use.
Materials:
I will be suggesting specific home practice assignments from each of the following supplemental resources. (Many people who join the teleconferences already own the CD’s and books, which is why I did not include them in the fee for the program. The books are available on Amazon and all bookstores, the CD’s are only available through www.fertileheart.com)

Registration:
This Level One Fertility Support Series is appropriate as a resource in conjunction with mainstream medical treatment such as IVF, or holistic fertility treatments such as acupuncture. You can also use the Ovum tools, as an independent healing modality when it’s time to “take a break from it all” for a while and focus on birthing your “inner fertility specialist.” Then the next step you take can be guided by your deepest wisdom rather than desperation.

Dear Festively Fertile Friends,
Having witnessed the power of the Fertile Heart™ Ovum Practice with thousands of clients over the last seventeen years, it has become more and more clear to me that the Fertile Heart™ tools are not easy to practice without guidance and community. The Ovum work is in essence a profound healing practice that creates observable changes on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. The deeper we engage with it, the greater the rewards. And just like with any other practice, it’s often difficult for an individual to sustain the level of commitment needed on her/his own. Not to mention that it’s a lot more exciting to explore the ideas and test them out with other people. We humans all wrestle with similar difficulties and one person’s insight can lead to an important revelation for everyone present.
One of the most gratifying aspects of my work is to see the immense transformation that can happen in the course of the seven hours of the Fertile Heart™ Fertility Retreat Intensive. As the wonderful dad at the end of the Fertility Success Stories Video put it, The person who walks in, is not the same person that walks out.”
And one of the most challenging aspects of my work is to witness missed opportunities. To have a clear sense after hearing about someone’s symptoms, circumstances or diagnosis, that conception is well within the realm of the possible. Then receive an mail a year later such as the one that came attached to an order of CD’s last week: “Dear Julia, You may remember me from your workshop a year ago. I just got a call from my doctor, the third IVF we tried this year failed, I’m ready to dive into the work.”
This ongoing Level One Fertility Support Teleconference is intended to offer you the support you might need to:
• “Dive” into the work before the heartache of multiple failed fertility treatments, or before you spend a year “dabbling” in imagery or Body Truth without fully following through on either.
• To deepen your understanding of the Ovum ideas and tools and to begin to identify and overcome the specific inner obstacles that keep you from becoming a parent.

(At the moment I’m devoting time to reproductive healthcare activism, developing new support resources and to working on my next writing project and that leaves me with limited time for private consultations)
• To create a common base of experience with the Fertile Heart™ tools and the questions that rise up when we engage fully with the practice, in preparation for co-creating a larger community of fertility game changers. After completing this series, you can choose to join the ongoing Fertility Support Circle of Visionary Moms-To-Be (a group with a much lower membership fee) dedicated to turning the tide of Reproductive Technopoly* toward sustainable reproductive healthcare.

If you’re looking to connect with others who are choosing a healthy, life-affirming road toward parenthood, our Fertility Support Teleconferences have been offering just that for the last 7 years.
Having used the Fertile Heart™ Ovum Practice with thousands of clients over the last seventeen years, it has become more and more clear to me that the Fertile Heart™ tools are not easy to practice without guidance and community. The Ovum work is in essence a profound spiritual practice that affects the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of our nature. The deeper we engage with it, the greater the rewards. If after attending your first circle you wish to continue participating, it would be helpful if you started reading The Fertile Female and working with the set of the 2 Imagery CD’s as well as the Body Truth CD’s. I usually assign home practice suggestions and you won’t be able to fully engage with them without those resources. (All three of them will most likely not exceed the cost of one or two acupuncture sessions.)
What will also help you feel connected to the work, to each other and help me support you, is if you spend a few minutes checking in on the message board about your practice in between sessions, and posting a comment on one of the recent blogs. Building an online community is important if we are to be a voice of change in the world of reproductive health.
Reading your comments also gives me a clearer sesnse of the kind of support that might be most useful.
